Joel Bretscher (1975-1979)
- While at Valpo set a school record in the 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free, 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly.
- Still remains among Valpo’s all-time top-10 list in all five events, ranking second all-time in the mile
- Named Indiana Collegiate Conference Most Valuable Swimmer three straight seasons before being named Heartland Collegiate Conference MVP as a senior
- Led Valpo to the 1977 ICC championship as a team
- A four-time conference champion in the 100 butterfly
Tim Weidner (1998-2002)
- Inducted into the Valparaiso University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009
- Graduated from Valpo as the record-holder in eight events, two of which still stand
- A member of all five relay records upon graduation, in addition to the 50 and 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke events
- A two-time first team All Mid-Continent Conference selection
- Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District V Team three times
- The Mid-Continent Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior
- Named Valpo’s Student-Athlete of the Year in 2000-2001 and a two-time team captain
